PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
January 2017 - Present
NEWS PRODUCER, WNCN
I joined the morning news team in Aug. 2019. Before the morning show, my main responsibility was the 6 PM and 11 PM weekend news. I also produced a variety of different newscasts three times a week where needed (from the 12 PM to the 11 PM) I help determine content, search for news across the state, monitor social media and the wires, edit scripts, write stories, and manage reporters and live shots. I also find ways to use elements like graphics and the studio to showcase stories in an interesting and engaging way.
February 2015 - January 2017
NEWS PRODUCER, KULR
I was the 10 PM producer until Oct. 2016, when I became the 5 PM producer. I monitored multiple social media platforms and the wires for national and local breaking news and weather. I wrote and posted stories to our website and social media sites.
