Coffee kiosk employee robbed at gunpoint
BILLINGS, Mont. - Billings Police are searching for a man who robbed an employee at a coffee kiosk Wednesday afternoon.
Sgt. Mitch Hart said police responded to a report of a robbery at Latte Central on the 1300 block of Central Avenue around 12:30 p.m.
Sgt. Hart said the suspect approached a window of the kiosk from the alley. He pointed a black handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
When the clerk told the man she didn't have any money, the suspect climbed through the window and grabbed the woman's purse.
Sgt. Hart said the suspect then fled on foot.
A customer pulling up the the kiosk at the time of the incident called 911. The suspect was last seen getting into an older model tan pickup with no tailgate.
Police found the pickup while searching the surrounding neighborhood, but no one was inside. The pickup was impounded pending a search warrant.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'6", skinny, wearing black running type pants and a white hoodie. He was also wearing a black ski mask with green lines below the nose area.
